These new horizontal rack PDUs in 1U to 3U sizes incorporate Eaton's cybersecure G4 network module, delivering a security-first foundation for networked power distribution in the rack. Built with zero-trust architecture, zero-touch provisioning and a user-configurable firewall, the PDUs are a security asset on enterprise networks. They also enable remote monitoring and control, helping teams improve uptime, reduce site visits and streamline operations through secure remote management and automation.

Zero-trust architecture

• Minimizes cybersecurity vulnerabilities through hardware root of trust, enabling secure boot and complete chain of trust with private hardware key encryption.
• Network module can only be upgraded using signed, genuine Eaton firmware.
• USB-C port enables direct computer connection while protecting against unauthorized or noncompliant devices.

Zero-touch provisioning

• Automatically configures networked rack PDUs to save time and reduce errors in large-scale deployments.
• Makes it easier to keep PDUs up to date with the latest firmware and security updates.
• Firmware updates are free of charge and do not require a support contract.

User-configurable firewall

RESTful API

Secure remote access via web browser or SNMP

• Allows you to view and manage your IT equipment remotely. For smaller environments, you can connect to PDUs with a standard web browser. For larger deployments, PDUs integrate smoothly via SNMP or MQTT with Eaton's Brightlayer software.
• Managed PDUs provide outlet-level monitoring and outlet level control, while metered-input PDUs provide bank-level monitoring without outlet-level control. Basic PDUs provide reliable power distribution without remote access.

Menu-driven LCD

• Allows easy setup, visual monitoring, local control and troubleshooting at the rack.

Environmental monitoring probes (EMPs)

• Optional EMPs (model EMPDT1H1C2) monitor temperature, humidity and contact-closure devices.

P-Lock power cord compatibility

• IEC outlets are compatible with Eaton Tripp Lite series P-Lock and P-Lock Lite power cords to help prevent accidental equipment disconnection and downtime.
